Hi, I am Yusi Long ( 龙钰斯 )

I am a PhD at the Laboratory of Wireless Intelligence Network and System (WINS), the School of Intelligent System Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). My supervisor is Prof. Shimin Gong . I am interested in next-generation network communication and intelligent computing.
From Nov-2023 to Nov-2024, I was visiting in Institute for Infocomm Research(I2R), the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore, supervised by Prof. Sun Sumei and Prof.Dusit Niyato. I obtained my M.S degree at the School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Guangzhou University (GZHU), supervised by Prof. Dong Tang.

My research is primarily centered around UAV communication,semantic communication, age of information (AoI) and optimization-driven deep reinforcement learning (DRL).
The key objective is to explore how to adjust communication strategies to support real-time services in dynamic networks, and how cooperative-UAV mechanisms improve the performance and the anti-interference ability of networks.
This involves exploring the integration of various networking methodologies:

  1. UAV communication:
    • UAV-assisted information freshness optimization
    • Deep reinforcement learning and its applications in UAV cooperation
    • Trajectory planning and scheduling strategy optimization
  2. Semantic communication:
    • Age of semantic communication
    • Information value in semantic communication
    • Deep reinforcement learning-driven semantic communication

We introduced a novel semantic-aware age-of-information (SAoI) metric that explores the trade-off between data freshness and semantic importance in a UAV-assisted wireless communication network via the Lyapunov-driven deep reinforcement learning framework.
